Howdy, Barbara! We're glad you stopped by planDisney!
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are a relaxing escape from the theme parks. Guests can
ride horses, enjoy campfires with Chip 'n' Dale, and
practice their archery skills, all while remaining in the Disney magic.
Staying in one of the cabins is an excellent way of "roughing it in comfort," as they say. The interior has all the conveniences of a home kitchen, complete with a refrigerator, dishwasher, convection/microwave oven, and two countertop burners. Many guests here like to prepare home-cooked meals (my friend,
Veronica, has even cooked entire Thanksgiving meals during her stays)! For added convenience, guests can fill out a
grocery list in advance, and their cabin will be stocked with provisions by 5:00 PM on their arrival day.
To have one of these grocery lists mailed to you, try calling the resort directly at (407) 824-2900. If they are unable to send one, maybe ask a friend or loved one to help you print it out. Once you've made your selections, you can send your grocery order, along with your cabin reservation details to Disney via Postal Mail: Fort Wilderness Cabins, ATTN: Meadow Trading Post, 4510 North Fort Wilderness Trail, Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830-1000
Also, the
Settlement and
Meadow Trading Posts located at the campgrounds have basic grocery supplies. There are a variety of burgers and hot dogs, perfect for those nights when you want to fire up the outdoor grill! Doing a quick grocery run here will be a breeze if you rent a golf cart. Call the Golf Cart Line to reserve one for your trip at (407) 824-2900.
As Sheriff Woody says, "You've Got A Friend In Me," Barbara! Please feel free to write back if you need any more assistance.
