Welcome to planDisney, Michael!
Thanks for bringing your question here today, I'm happy to assist.
I love how much flexibility a Disney Vacation Club Membership allows. My Walt Disney World Resort vacations can look very different depending on who I am travelling with. I like being able to book accommodations that fit my travel party for the timeframe I'm looking for and where I'd like to travel. Members can use their Vacation Points for stays at
Disney Vacation Club Resorts in the USA. Additionally, they have the option to use their points for
Adventures By Disney,
Disney Cruise Line, or an
Interval International Vacation Exchange.
To check resort availability, first, log in to your account on the DVC website. Next, hover over the "Plan Vacation" tab and then click "Book a Vacation". Enter the information that is specific to your trip (number of Guests, check-in and check-out dates, desired room type), and then select all of the Resorts you would like to search. Click on the blue "Check Availability" button and you'll see all of the resort availability that fulfills your search terms.
To find out how many Points are needed for a stay, visit the DVC website and check the
Points Chart. There, you'll find the Points Charts for both the current year and the upcoming year, allowing you to plan your stay in advance when your 11-month booking window opens at your
Home Resort. The Points Charts provide details on all types of
Villa accommodations across all travel seasons.
Michael, I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning. Please don't hesitate to return to
planDisney with any other Disney Vacation Club or planning questions that come to mind, we are happy to help!
Welcome Home,
