How do I make my resort reservation? Use my DVC points online DEC 28,2023 - Jan 24, 2024

    Hiya, Dorothea!

Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney, neighbor!  How exciting that you are looking to plan a stay at a Disney Vacation Club Resort using your Vacation Points. Dorthea, I've been a Member for over 22 years, and not only do I love being immersed in the unique theming of Disney Vacation Club Resorts that transport me to a whole new world. But I love the amenities like kitchens and kitchenettes, laundry, and sleeping and living space that make my room feel like home sweet home, while surrounded by the magic of Disney!

Dorothea, to book your Disney Vacation Club Resort using your Vacation Points, you can either log in to your Disney Vacation Club account online or you can call Member Services.  If you want to make the booking online, just log into your Disney Vacation Club account and click on the My DVC tab. At the top, there is a search bar for you to search availability based on dates and room size, and then you will be able to see all of the DVC Resorts that have availability during your desired dates.

Now, one thing to note is that if you are booking at your Home Resort - the Resort in which you purchased a Vacation Ownership Interest - you can book your Resort beginning 11 months in advance of your desired check-in date for a stay of up to seven consecutive nights. If you are trying to book any other Disney Vacation Club Resort, you can do this beginning seven months in advance of your desired check-in date for a stay of up to seven consecutive nights.  If you do a search and are too far out from these priority periods, it will look like there is no availability. So, in this case, you will want to check back within the priority booking window.

Sometimes, in busy periods, there is limited or no availability during your preferred dates even in the priority window. In this case, you can look to see if you can book a split stay at more than one Resort. Typically the online system will tell you if it can find a few nights at one location and a few nights at another location. Alternatively, you can also look to put yourself on a Wait List if your heart is set on a specific Resort.

Now, if you are trying to book more than seven consecutive nights at a Disney Vacation Club Resort, I recommend calling Member Services.  They would be able to answer if this is possible and if not, what to do instead.  They are like Fairy Godparents when it comes to maximizing the magic of your Membership!

I hope this helps you, Dorothea.  If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, stop back and see us here.  We will be happy to help you!

    See ya real soon,
    Keri
