    My fiance and I will be having our honeymoon in Disney the day after our wedding. I will not have time to change my name before the honeymoon, but would like the TV in our room to say "Welcome Fiance's last name Family". How do I do this?

    Hey there Kallie, and a warm newlywed welcome to planDisney!

    There’s simply nothing like a Walt Disney World Resort Honeymoon, and I found myself in a similar situation last year when we stayed at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for ours right after having our Disney Wedding here! Ideally, you’d want the lead guest on the reservation to be the one with the name you’d like appearing on screen; since this currently isn’t something you can directly update on your own using the My Disney Experience app, you will need to call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line to see about amending this.

    • Your best bet will be to speak directly with the Cast Members at the Front Desk as you check in - I've had luck in the past correcting or changing a name by heading straight there, though bear in mind that the update might not be immediate and could take some time - so the sooner you let them know, the better! Policies and offerings are always subject to change without prior notice, so as a rule of thumb it's always good to check in person. 

    Here’s hoping that the folks at the Front Desk will be able to make this happen for you both, to really help you feel like you’re well on your way to your newlywed life together! I highly recommend checking out the Honeymoon Tips prepared by Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings team and also check out some of the great experiences from the Enchanting Extras collection like booking a Capture Your Moment session for the two of you in one of the theme parks. My husband and I did this just after our wedding day and ended up with some amazing shots with Cinderella Castle and across Fantasyland; I highly recommend making reservations for two back-to-back sessions and purchasing Memory Maker to really get the most photos out of this experience.
