As someone who also purchased a giant Stitch plush myself, I can personally attest to the joy and excitement of bringing home a cuddly life-size Disney pal of your own. As you know, 'Ohana means family and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten - and in this case, you and many other fellow guests definitely wouldn't want to leave behind that big fuzzy face after spotting it on a shelf!
I took the opportunity to head over to
Disney Springs today while conducting a bit of in-person research here at Walt Disney World Resort, and spoke with the Cast Members over at
World of Disney about your chances of snagging your beloved Stitch when you get here this month. They let me know that though they often have these in stock, there is no guarantee that they'll always be available when a sudden surge of fellow Stitch-seekers come to
World of Disney to purchase them all - particularly over the next few months leading into the holidays. They do seem to be
very much aware of how popular these plushes are, and recommend asking a Cast Member to see whether they can look up availability at any
other merchandise locations at Walt Disney World Resort. Unfortunately the Cast Members could not confirm in advance whether there will be any stock specifically on October 21, and are currently not able to hold onto any item for guests for this long.
While there is a
Large Stitch Plush available to purchase online through the Disney store, you likely desire the one that's ever bigger. Here's hoping that you'll be able to find him on your upcoming visit, or can recruit some helpful local friends or Cast Members to aid you in your hunt! (From personal experience, it can be pretty pricey to ship this directly from Disney Springs at the moment, and I actually flew mine across the country as a gift for my sister; definitely with my share of looks from fellow fliers with Stitch taking up my entire carry-on with his head poking out throughout the journey.) If you're successful in your quest, here's hoping you'll be able to bring him along to watch the
live-action Lilo and Stitch coming next summer in 2025!
