Hi Karen!
Welcome to planDisney.
Disney dining is such a wonderful part of our vacations, so I'm really pleased to see that you are getting ready to make your reservations!
Dining reservations, for all Guests, can be made up to 60 days in advance. The advantage for guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel is that at 60 days you can reserve all your dining for the first 10 days of your trip. If you are staying for longer than that you can make another reservation for each day up until the end of your stay.
You can make your reservations online, or by using your My Disney Experience mobile app, whichever suits you best. If you are not having success in finding times at some of the most popular restaurants, try for those dates towards the end of your trip. It's more likely they will have availability the further away they are. If you still can't get those reservations you really want, I recommend that you keep trying as guests cancel and change their plans all the time, even on the same day.
Some of the most popular locations are
Cinderella's Royal Table (dining with princesses inside Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park!), and
Be Our Guest Restaurant inside Beast's Castle, also in Magic Kingdom Park.
Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort is very popular and one of my absolute favourites! With its waterfront setting with views of Seven Seas Lagoon by day and Cinderella Castle and Happily Ever After by night, it is unlikely you'll find a prettier spot. If you spend a day over at Disney Springs,
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' always fills up quickly, but I always stop by, even if just for a delicious slice of their Hummingbird Cake.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions, and you can
send me a direct question if you wish. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation at Walt Disney World!
Sue
