Galactic Greetings, Tracy!
It sounds like you're planning a SPACETASTIC journey 220 miles above Earth to the Centauri Space Station for some COSMIC cocktails and OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD food! How exciting to score one of Walt Disney World's most coveted dining reservations - at Space 220 Restaurant.
Guests of Space 220 have two different reservation options for dining: the
Space 220 Restaurant, and the
Space 220 Lounge. Guests dining in the restaurant will be treated to an INTERGALACTIC dining experience, with a prix fixe three-course meal for dinner (two courses for lunch). Guests in the lounge will enjoy small bites and a more casual dining experience. Since Space 220 takes two separate reservations for the two areas, guests are not able to request one or the other upon arrival.
I understand your desire to travel to space and also be able to see the starry skies full of fabulous fireworks on the same evening. If you've reserved the restaurant for 8 PM, you'll most likely have an overlap with
Luminous The Symphony of Us,
EPCOT's nighttime fireworks show. The showtime is typically 9 PM.
I spoke with some of the galaxy's greatest gals from Space 220, who had suggestions on what to do!
- You can try and modify your reservation to see if any lounge reservations become available. Keep checking back, even up until a day or two before you arrive - guests are always adjusting and changing their plans, and you never know when you might get lucky when a spot opens up!
- On the day you visit EPCOT, there may be limited walk-up reservations available for Space 220 Lounge. My advice would be to be there about 45 minutes to an hour before the restaurant opens to get on the list, as it is a very popular dining destination!
- If everyone in your party is 21 and up, bar seating is first-come, first-serve. Check with the EXTRA-TERRESTRIALLY EXCELLENT exterior hosts to see if any seats are available. There is a standby line for these seats if you want to wait!
If any of these options enable you to change your reservation, make sure to cancel the original reservation so as not to get charged a no-show fee.
I'm sending pixie dust (and space dust!) your way, and hoping you're able to secure a METEORICALLY MAGICAL reservation at Space 220 Lounge.
To Infinity and Beyond!
