Hello, Maria!
Welcome to planDisney! One of my favorite quotes is from the
incredible Edna Mode: "Luck favors the prepared!" So cheers to you for doing your research and checking the weather as you prepare for your visit to Disneyland Park. You're a
super planner!
Theme park reservation cancellation policies depend on the type of tickets that you've purchased.
Magic Key holders must cancel a theme park reservation by 11:59 PM Pacific Time on the day before their visit to avoid having a strike against their account based on the Magic Key no-show policy. Standard Theme Park Tickets do not have a no-show penalty, however, if you are trying to change the date for a multi-day ticket that has been partially used then you'll need to use all the dates on your ticket within 13 days from your first visit.
If you have standard theme park tickets then it's best to
modify theme park reservations at least one day before your visit. That gives other guests the opportunity to grab a theme park reservation that they might have been waiting for! You can update your reservations on the Disneyland website by going to "My Disneyland" in the top menu and selecting "
Ticket and Reservation Details" from the menu that drops down.
While I know it's no fun to have to reschedule a park visit,
there are plenty of things to look forward to this year! For example, in March the
Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival will arrive...that means if you delay your visit just a couple of weeks you'll be able to enjoy some of the best snacks and treats of the year!
Maria, I don't blame you for wanting to wait for a sunny day to enjoy the parks! I hope you'll be able to modify your park reservations and have an incredible day when you visit the resort.
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
