I purchased 6 Disneyland Park tickets for out of town relatives for February 21st. One of the adults is sick and unable to fly here. How can I cancel our ticket and get a credit for it?

    Hello, Donna!

Welcome to planDisney! I'm so sorry to hear that one of your relatives won't be able to visit you. It's always so disappointing to have to cancel travel plans! I hope they are feeling better soon.

Theme park tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable, but you can absolutely use the ticket for someone else to go to the parks with you! Tickets purchased today on the Disneyland website or app are valid through December 30, 2025 (for one-day tickets) or January 12, 2026 (for multi-day tickets) so you have plenty of time to plan a day in the parks. Maybe your relative will even have the chance to come and visit you when they feel better! The ticket will remain linked to your Disney account, so you will still have it available for your use.

It is helpful to cancel your theme park reservation if you won't be attending, but it's not required. You can modify or cancel your theme park reservation online (make sure you cancel the reservation tied to the correct ticket) which might give another guest the chance to get to the parks that day!

If you decide to have someone else use that ticket later you can change the name on a ticket by calling the "Tickets" phone number on this page and speaking with a Cast Member. They'll get you taken care of!

Did you know that the "Magic Happens" Parade is back? This gorgeous parade is one of my favorites, I love the variety of characters and the colorful costumes. It's the perfect opportunity to grab a snack and relax for a bit!

Donna, I'm sorry that your party will be missing a member at the parks! But I hope that your relative will recovery quickly and that you'll all be together again soon!

    Keep moving forward!
