Welcome back to planDisney Kathryn! It sounds like you’re getting ready to purchase your Walt Disney World tickets, and I’m happy to help ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible. With different members of your group needing different ticket lengths, it’s important to know the best way to make your purchase while keeping everything organized in My Disney Experience. Let’s go over the easiest way to set this up so you can focus on the fun and excitement of your upcoming trip!
Purchasing tickets for your group can easily be done in one transaction. The easiest way to do this is through the
ticketing page on the Walt Disney World website. Once you’re logged into your My Disney Experience account, at the top of the page, go to Tickets & Parks and select "Buy Theme Park Tickets." Under "Theme Park Ticket," choose the first set of tickets by selecting the number of park days, a start date, and the ticket type, such as One Park Per Day or Park Hopper. Then, choose the number of adults and children and continue to add those tickets to your cart.
To add the second set of park days, repeat the same steps, selecting the different ticket length needed for the other members of your group. Once both sets of tickets are in your cart, follow the prompts to complete your purchase. This method ensures that all tickets are purchased together while still allowing for different ticket lengths. Once completed, you can assign the tickets to each guest in My Disney Experience to keep everything organized.
To avoid confusion, I recommend that each person in your party create their own
My Disney Experience account if they haven’t already. Once their accounts are set up, you can add them to your Friends & Family list. Next, I suggest that everyone connect their My Disney Experience account on their own devices and link their accounts to yours.
I find the easiest way to connect to the accounts of friends and family members is by using your Linking Code. To find your Linking Code, tap on the 3 horizontal lines on the bottom right of the My Disney Experience app. Scroll to the bottom of the screen then under Disney Account, tap “Profile.” Next, tap “Show My Linking Code.” The app will then prompt you with a warning explaining what the linking code is. Once someone scans your Linking Code, you’ll be added to their Friends & Family list. Next tap “Show My Linking Code.” The app will then create a unique linking code. There’s a QR version as well as a manual code that your friends and family can type in.
Kathryn, I hope this helps you get everything set up for your magical adventure at Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you for visiting planDisney, and have a pixie dusted day!
