Welcome to planDisney, Jennifer! We're glad you brought your question to us.
Oh boy! Before you know it, your Walt Disney World Resort holiday will be here! I'm sure you want to be sure everything is set so you'll be ready to jump right into all the magic of the
50th Anniversary Celebration.
Based on the situation you have described, it sounds like everything is set up just the way it should be. A
MagicBand is linked to a person, not an account, so if your husband has his own
My Disney Experience account he manages his own profile and should see his MagicBand listed under "My MagicBands and Cards". You'll be able to view your MagicBand and the bands for any other Guests whose profiles you manage when signed in to your account. As long you and your husband have
connected your My Disney Experience accounts through
Family & Friends, you will be able to assign him a ticket. If he has a ticket linked to his profile and a MagicBand also linked to his profile, the magic of My Disney Experience will make everything work together -- no additional linking is necessary. Both you and your husband should see his ticket linked to his profile when viewing "Tickets and Passes" under either of your accounts.
I have a similar situation in my family -- my eldest son has his own My Disney Experience account, but I created profiles for my husband and other children under my account. I can view and manage MagicBands for myself, my husband, and my younger children, but not for my eldest son. Since he is on my Family & Friends list, if I purchase tickets I can assign a ticket to him, and also add him to any resort hotel or dining reservations I book. He can then see any plans I have added him to, as well as use any MagicBands associated with his account to access his admission ticket.
I hope that helps! I know the ins and outs of My Disney Experience can be confusing, so feel free to
write back if you have additional questions. Enjoy your visit!
