Our family of four (dad, mom, 2 boys ages 3 and 6) are planning on coming to Disneyland for one day in July. Based on our kids ages, if we were to choose between Disneyland or California adventure, which would be best?

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Marcus!

You’re as welcome as can be here at planDisney! I’m honored to help you get your Donald Ducks in a row for your visit to The Happiest Place On Earth next month! Oh boy(s)! You all are in for a treat! As a boy mom, your question brings up so many wonderful memories. I have spent a lot of time in both theme parks, so you came to the right Mouseketeer for advice on what to do, where to go, what to eat, and who to see!

Marcus, choosing the right theme park for a one-day adventure really comes down to what you and your family are most excited about. Both parks are packed with fun and have enough magic to fill a whole day. If this is your first-ever visit to the Disneyland Resort together, napping a family photo in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, zooming around on Autopia, and blasting off-planet to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is a must!

But Marcus, let me tell you, my 2.5-year-old superhero is absolutely in love with the Disney California Adventure Park. He’s a huge Spiderman fan, so Avengers Campus is a dream come true for him. And Cars Land? Oh, he feels like he’s stepped right into Radiator Springs from the movies. More of our favorite attractions at this park are Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, just to name a few. And don't forget the incredible rides that are available to thrill-seekers over 48 inches

Both parks offer so many fantastic options, so you and your little guys are in for a treat no matter where you go. I hope I've sprinkled some helpful pixie dust on your plans for your visit, Marcus! Just as Ursula from "The Little Mermaid" says, "That's what I do! It's what I live for!" So if you have any more questions before your visit, just swim on back to ask me again

    See ya real soon!
