My family is coming in April with the plan of doing 3 park days, one of those days being a hopper pass ideally. Do we still have to purchase hopper separately from individual park days or can we purchase together given changes with reservations in January

Hi there, Sara!  Welcome to planDisney!

I'm so happy to hear that you and your family are planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort this spring!  The weather in Florida is lovely that time of year, and the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will be in full swing, so it's a wonderful time for a visit.  It's my pleasure to answer your question about theme park tickets today so that you can start planning a spring trip that's practically perfect in every way!

When you purchase your theme park tickets, you will need to select the number of days that you wish to visit the parks.  You can purchase standard theme park tickets which allow you to visit one park per day, or you may add the Park Hopper option to your tickets if you'd like to visit more than one park per day.  When buying a multi-day ticket, you will need to select the same ticket option for all of your theme park days.  For example, if you purchase a three-day ticket and wish to park hop, you must add the Park Hopper option for all three days.

Sometimes Guests with standard theme park tickets are able to visit Guest Relations and upgrade to Park Hoppers during their vacation.  However, in this situation, you would need to add the Park Hopper option to all the remaining days on your theme park ticket.  Unfortunately, you would not be able to pick and choose only certain days to add the Park Hopper option.

In early 2024, your Walt Disney World Resort visit will be even easier to plan.  Starting on January 9, 2024, Guests with standard date-based theme park tickets will no longer be required to make a park reservation.  Also beginning on this date, Guests who have Park Hopper tickets will be able to visit additional parks at any time of the day (subject to capacity restrictions).  I think these upcoming changes really add value to Park Hopper tickets.  Since your visit is a relatively short one, purchasing theme park tickets with the Park Hopper option could be a great way to maximize the magic of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

Sara, I hope this information helps to clear up your question.  If there's anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask.  My fellow planDisney panelists and I are all ears!  See ya real soon!
