My family and I are celebrating Christmas eve and Christmas day ai Disney World. Wondering if there’s gonna be a parade at night during those dates?

Seasons greetings, Rachel, and welcome to planDisney! I have a Disneyland visit on December 24 and 25, so we will celebrate "the same but different," as my mom used to say. Let's look at what you can expect at Walt Disney World Resort on your upcoming holiday trip.

The schedule is always subject to change, and the best way to stay updated is to check the calendar as your trip gets closer. Online, hover over the Parks and Tickets tab near the top left of your screen and then click the blue "More Hours" link under Park Hours. You can select your exact dates and toggle to see a five-day calendar for all parks or select ones.

You'll see park hours and any special events in the main list for each theme park. For daily park schedules, you can click Events, Parades, and Fireworks below.

When I checked today, the only parade listed for those two days was Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at Magic Kingdom Park at noon and 3:00 PM. This seasonal parade is typically only available as part of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, but since there's no party on those dates, the parade will run for all guests in honor of the holiday. Again, exact times could change, so keep an eye on the calendar.

On both nights you can also see Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks at Cinderella Castle. This is another special treat usually only seen during the after-hours party. It's like you'll be getting a holiday bonus!

Rachel, I'm sending pixie dust and festive fireworks so your upcoming visit will be a holly-jolly one. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
