Hiya Teresa! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm excited that you are visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the most magical time of the year! The holiday season is filled with tasty treats, festive décor, and special events happening throughout the parks. With your arrival coming a day after Christmas, you'll still be welcomed down Main Street, U.S.A. with all the holiday flair!
During
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, there is a "snowfall" that occurs during various parts of the night. Typically, this special occurrence only takes place during this special ticketed event. Since the party will have already come to an end by the time of your visit, I highly doubt that you will see "snow" during your stay. However, since Walt Disney World is known for creating magical memories, you never know if there are any surprises around the corner.
One thing that the Magic Kingdom has done in years past is extend the special parade that takes place during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party to the week between Christmas and New Year's. Last year,
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade was held twice daily for all Guests to enjoy! If you weren't able to attend the special ticketed event, you were still able to experience a piece of the holidays on your park day. Already on the
calendar for that week are special viewings of Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. This show is scheduled to begin at 8 PM on a few nights during your stay.
Teresa, if you have your heart set on seeing "snow" on your trip, there is a good chance a visit to
Disney Springs will do the trick. I visited here last year in December and was greeted with a "snowfall" in the Town Center area. We just happened to be walking through as "snow" fell from the sky above. My daughters were running around trying to catch each flake!
I hope you have an amazing visit!
