Does everyone in the group have to do the same lightning lane attractions?

    Hey there, Tiffany!

Thanks for bringing your question our way. I'm happy to outline all the details on Lightning Lane Passes

First, let's walk through the booking process so you know what to expect. When eligible to purchase your passes (7 days in advance of check-in for guests with eligible resort reservations, and 3 days before ticket start date for off-site guests) you'll be prompted to select a date from the calendar. Next, you'll select the park where you'd like to purchase passes. You'll also indicate whether you want to buy Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, or both for this particular day and park. I recommend completing these purchases as two separate transactions if everyone in your party does not want to experience the Single Pass attraction as any selections you make here will apply to all party members which you will select on the following screen.

Once you confirm your party you'll choose 3 Multi Pass experiences, keeping grouping restrictions in mind. All parks will allow for 1 selection from group one and 2 from group two (or all 3 from group 2) except for Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park which does not have any attraction grouping rules at this time. After choosing your experiences you'll be offered suggested return times which you can modify earlier or later, subject to availability, before finalizing your selections. You’ll repeat this process for each day you plan to utilize Lightning Lane Passes, one day at a time.

Your group doesn't have to experience the same attractions, but the first 3 Multi Pass selections must be the same for each member of your group during this initial booking process. However, you can easily go back in to modify one or more of the experiences if not everyone in your group wants to ride a particular attraction. I explained the modification process step-by-step to another guest with a similar question. You can also purchase and book Lightning Lane Passes separately for certain members of your group if you'd rather not modify experiences after booking. Doing this may generate different return times across your party, so just keep that in mind.

I hope this helps, Tiffany. If you need further clarification please feel free to write me directly or reach out to a Cast Member via phone or online chat for assistance. We'd all be glad to answer any additional questions you might have.

    Wishing you a magical visit!
