Is there any electrical plug in availability to charge a electric scooter in the parks at Walt Disney World? Just in case I run the battery out.

    Hi Pamela,

You are going to be zooming through Walt Disney World Resort in no time! I'm so glad that you stopped by planDisney with your question while you wait.

We often travel as one big, loud, happy, multi-generational crew with two Guests on scooters. You can hear us coming! So I am happy to share with you that while the battery on many of the rental scooters available from Walt Disney World Resort or the various third-party delivery services in Orlando are primed for a morning-until-night adventure through the theme parks, there are also plenty of opportunities to charge up if needed.

Since every scooter (ECV) that I have seen uses a standard plug, you just need to keep your eagle eyes open for a regular, open plug. I have seen them around Quick Service restaurants, outside of bathrooms, and even by shady benches. Also, you will notice scooters plugged in to charge overnight (much like us!) along the corridors of most Walt Disney World Resort hotels

One thing that we have discovered makes our lives easier, Pamela, is to bring a clip-on drink holder for use inside the basket of our group's ECVs. We have spilled one-too-many sodas all over our stashed sweatshirts in our days before the clip-on beverage carrier! We learned the hard way. I want better for you!

Also, since many of the ECVs available for rent can look very similar, it can be helpful to bring a brightly colored ribbon or sign to hang from your basket, seat, or handlebars. This will make spotting your wheels in the parking area much easier.

I hope that's helpful, Pamela. Come back and visit us with any other questions!

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
