G'Day Kerry,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! It's always a pleasure to answer questions from our friends from down under, and I'm thrilled to hear you're starting to plan a trip to the
Disneyland Resort later this year!
When visiting one of the parks of the Disneyland Resort, you need both valid
theme park tickets and a
theme park reservation for each day of your visit. Typically people will purchase theme park tickets for the total number of days that they want to visit, and then schedule the theme park reservations for each day during their trip.
The reservations do not need to be on subsequent days, so if you were visiting California for 10 days and planned to visit the Disneyland Resort for 5 of those days, you could schedule them during any of the days of your trip that you'd like. Just keep in mind that theme park tickets must be used within 13 days of first use.
I have heard that some International Guests have trouble booking their trips through the Disneyland Resort website due to local rules and regulations so if you're not able to do that where you're located then I'd recommend working with a local travel agent who can help you make these arrangements.
Thanks again for your question, Kerry! I hope you have a fantastic visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
