Hiya, Cindy! Welcome back to planDisney, and thanks for this great question about Walt Disney World Resort dining. Since you're within your
60-day booking window, let's jump right in to talk about Advanced Dining Reservations so your trip will be as magical as possible.
Some of my panelist pals and I have dinner reservations at
Topolino's Terrace in a few days; this will be my first time eating there, and I can't wait. While the menu looks delectable, I'm most excited about that breathtaking view...and spending time with my friends! I'm all about a restaurant's "vibe," and Topolino's has a fabulous one.
Cindy, it sounds like you've secured a table for two but are looking for a more desirable time to dine. I chatted with a foodie Cast Member who said the best practice is to book for your exact party size, even if tables for more or less are available. The main reason is that if a party of two books a four-top table, other guests will be prevented from dining. It could create a not-so-magical ripple effect!
So, while you might see a larger table with more time slots available, I recommend sticking with a table that fits your actual party size. And
keep checking for availability; guests often change their plans in the days leading up to their visit. I've had luck finding a last-minute table, but persistence is key!
If you have questions about dining reservations, feel free to
contact the dining line. They can discuss policies and answer specific questions about your bookings.
Remember that Disney's Riviera Resort offers the
Disney Skyliner as a means of transportation. After breakfast, you can sail above the treetops to EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios. The skyliner is my husband's favorite way to travel.
Cindy, I'm wishing on a star that your holiday visit will be all you dream of. Thanks for allowing
planDisney to assist you, and please come back anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
