How early can you start online check in, to make a room request?

    Esther,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

Online Check-In is a great way to make sure that everything is set up for your magical trip to Walt Disney World! You can set up your online check-in 60 days before your arrival.

Like you, I always do this early to get my room preference in for my stay. With that, you may have the option to request a room based on the view, location, floor, or early check-in. These options can change over time, and by resort. But that will help your chances. Though Disney cannot guarantee that they can fulfill your request, it does improve your chances of getting a preferred room location.

Do remember that if upon arrival, you are not happy with your room selection, do not hesitate to ask if there is a chance of moving. If they can grant your wish, they will. I have done this a few times, and I can tell you that the cast members were more than pleasant and accommodating when I asked.

    BONUS TIP
Another great benefit of your My Disney Experience account and the Online Check-In feature is that Disney will even text you your room number to your My Disney Experience App when it is ready! So when you arrive, instead of waiting around for your room to be ready, you can just drop your bags off at the Bell Services desk of your resort and jet off to your first adventure of the trip!

Please feel free to write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
