Hi again, Tyler!
Welcome back to
planDisney, and thanks so much for stopping by to ask us another question about exploring the
Disneyland Resort. It sounds like you’re busy getting all your Donald Ducks in a row for your upcoming vacation! You mentioned some really great options for
character dining, and for me, there are two clear favorites when it comes to seeking out a unique variety of characters to meet and greet.
“Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park” at
Plaza Inn inside Disneyland Park is a wonderful choice for a hearty buffet of breakfast classics while visiting with Minnie and the gang. On a recent meal there, my family met Eeyore, Fairy Godmother, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Chip ‘n’ Dale, and of course, Minnie Mouse herself. During other visits, we’ve seen Perla and Suzy (Cinderella’s mice friends), Daisy, Pluto, Piglet, Rabbit, Goofy, and Max!
Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel is another one of my favorite character dining locations at the resort because of its large selection of food and fun character variety. In the morning, you’ll find an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet that includes Mickey waffles, PB&J “pizza,” an omelet station and a whole section devoted to kids’ breakfast favorites. At dinnertime, selections include a carving station, catch of the day, a full dessert bar, and other savory menu items. Some of the characters I’ve seen there recently are Goofy, Pluto, Minnie, and Chip ‘n’ Dale, but the mix is always subject to change.
However, I should mention that if meeting Mickey Mouse is on your must-do list, the only character meal where he currently makes an appearance is Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet at
Storytellers Cafe. Mickey and his classic character pals, such as Minnie, Pluto, and Chip 'n' Dale, can be found there and are always ready for an adventure dressed in their outdoor gear.
I hope this helps you make plans, Tyler, and whichever restaurants you choose, be sure to bring along your camera and autograph book. Bon appetit!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
