Hello, we are DVC members and have a trip planned for September with some family. I want to buy MNSHP tickets and was wondering if they get the $10 discount as well since they are staying with us?

Hey there, Morgan! Thanks for stopping by planDisney! We're more than halfway to Halloween, and it's time to start picking out your spooky best for one of the most popular events of the year at Walt Disney World Resort - Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! I'm happy to share the details about using your Disney Vacation Club Membership to purchase event tickets for your family.

Dates for this season's parties were announced last week, and tickets went on sale May 5 for Guests with reservations at a Disney Resort Hotel. DVC Members may purchase discounted tickets at $10 off the regular price for event nights from August 7 to October 2, so your September trip is eligible for this Member perk.

All the Guests on your reservation can receive the discounted ticket price. To ensure that you don't have any issues during the booking process, your first order of business should be to confirm that your DVC Membership is linked to your My Disney Experience account. Next, make sure that all of the family members on your resort reservation are connected with you via the Family & Friends feature in My Disney Experience.

Once you're ready to snag those sought-after tickets, log in to your account and navigate to the ticketing site. When you are logged in, you should see an option for DVC Members - click that button and you will see the discounted price if tickets are still available for your desired party date. You'll be able to assign the tickets to each Guest during the checkout process, and then you'll be good to go for a night of Halloween fun at Magic Kingdom Park!

With tickets in hand, you can start planning costumes for the big night! Be sure to check out the park rules for the party so that you understand what is and is not allowed. I also recommend opting for something comfortable (especially shoes!), as you will rack up a lot of steps over the course of the evening!

Morgan, I hope this information is just what you need to unlock some memorable Halloween adventures at Walt Disney World! Please come see us again at planDisney if you have any other questions about your fall vacation, or your DVC Membership in general. We're always here to help!

    Boo to You!
