I am coming to WDW in July. I arrive July 4th. I was wondering, does Disney do any extended hours for Hollywood Studios? We will be staying at Boulder Ridge.

Hey there, Karen! Thanks so much for coming to see us again at planDisney! You're just a couple of months away from your summer vacation at Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm happy to share some information to help with your planning.

Summer is always a blast at The Most Magical Place on Earth! There are all sorts of great offerings this year as part of Cool KIDS' SUMMER from May 26 through September 8 to add a little extra magic to your travels.

Karen, the Park Calendar currently shows scheduled events through July 9 - you can see this if you use the 5-day view and start on July 5. Disney's Hollywood Studios is open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on all dates from July 4-9, with Early Theme Park Entry available from 8:30-9:00 AM for Guests staying at a Disney Resort Hotel. We always try and take advantage of that early time in the parks, especially in the summer months so we can take a break during the hottest part of the day for some time relaxing at the pool!

On Wednesday, July 8, you can purchase tickets for Disney After Hours at Hollywood Studios. These events, held on select nights, offer shorter wait times for all of the amazing attractions at the park, some complimentary treats, and special Character greetings. Although the "official" event time is 9:30 PM - 12:00 AM, you can actually enter the park as early at 7:00 PM with your event ticket to get a head start on the fun. It's a great way to beat the daytime heat! And, if you are a Disney Vacation Club Member or an Annual Passholder, you can save $30 per ticket.

Don't forget that one of the best perks of staying on Disney property this summer is FREE water park admission on the day of check-in! Drop your bags at your resort and head off to either Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park or Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  Both are open for business so you can enjoy some relaxing time on the lazy rivers, or tackle the water slides if you're feeling adventurous.

I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes, Karen! Please don't hesitate to send any other questions our way as your trip approaches - we're always happy to help.

    See Ya Real Soon!
