Welcome aboard planDisney, Sheena, and Welcome Home! Pretty soon, your cruise will be appearing on the line where the sky meets the sea, and I bet it's already calling you. Thanks for asking your transportation question. I'm happy to help you.
You and I are on the same wavelength because I also almost always use my
Disney Vacation Club membership to stay at a
Disney Resort hotel prior to my cruise. In fact, that's one of the reasons I decided to purchase my membership. Then, on the morning of our cruise, we use Disney Cruise Line ground transportation to take us to the port, and on the morning we debark, we take it back to the airport. So easy!
So, yes,
Disney Cruise Line transportation is available at an extra cost from your DVC resort at Walt Disney World to Port Canaveral. You'll need to add this to your cruise reservation either online or by
calling Disney Cruise Line. If a travel agent helped you make your cruise reservation, your agent will need to add it for you.
It is so nice having your luggage picked up in your hotel room and delivered straight to your stateroom, which is included in the transportation service. Plus, being whisked away by motor coach and dropped off as close to the terminal door as possible feels like a luxury.
One of the nice things is, your luggage is typically picked up an hour and a half or so before the time you need to meet then Disney Cruise Line representative to board the coach. This gives you enough time to leisurely have coffee in your room, have breakfast or get some last minute shopping in, which I've been known to do.
Sheena, I hope you have a fantastic cruise. Please visit us again if you have any other planning questions.
Grab hold of your dreams!
