Ahoy there, Kathlene, and welcome aboard planDisney! You've come to the right place because the
Disney Fantasy happens to be my favorite ship. In fact, I've sailed aboard her 9 times, most recently in February of this year. I'll also be back on board in September, so anytime I can chat about her, I'm more than happy to do so. Thanks for asking your question about lobster night.
Lobster tail is typically served as an entree option in
Royal Court, which is one of the three main dining rooms you'll rotate through on your cruise. This is what most people are referring to when they talk about lobster night. However, it's only served on cruises of 7 nights or longer, in my experience, so you probably won't see it as an entree in the main dining rooms on a 5-night cruise.
That being said, there is an iced lobster and jumbo shrimp appetizer on the Royal Court menu you'll likely experience. Keep in mind that you'll be assigned to two of the main dining rooms twice on your 5-night cruise. Each main dining room has a menu unique to it. Then,
Pirate Night will have a themed menu served in all main dining rooms, and there will be one other night all dining rooms will have the same menu (on a 5-night cruise, this is usually the first night). If Royal Court is one of the dining rooms you visit twice, you'll have its unique menu one night (with the iced lobster and jumbo shrimp appetizer I shared about) and then either the Pirate Night menu or the other shared menu I mentioned. All this to say, if lobster is a priority for you, make sure you don't skip Royal Court on the night its unique menu is served.
This brings me to a tip I want to share with you. Using the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you're on board, you'll be able to view menus. I always like to look at them all on the first day to make sure I don't miss my favorite dishes. I've been known to rearrange my
Palo reservation so I don't miss out on the Grand Marnier soufflé, also at Royal Court.
Kathlene, I hope you have an amazing cruise! If you have any other questions, feel free to
reach out to me directly if you'd like.
Grab hold of your dreams!
Melanie
