I don't want to miss the special projections on the Tree of Life at night. What is that called and how do I know in advance which nights of my trip it will be happening? Hoping to visit May 29-June 3 2025. Thanks!

    Welcome to planDisney, Michele!

Animal Kingdom is my favorite Disney World theme park, there are so many small touches that make it so magical! While it is a park that closes earlier, the night-time show is worth seeing.

While Animal Kingdom does tend to close earlier than the other parks, I always recommend staying through the evening to catch Tree of Life Awakenings. It’s a short, beautiful projection show that brings the park’s iconic Tree of Life to life with animals, colour, and light. The show celebrates the balance and harmony found in all living things, and it’s one of those quiet, powerful moments that really sticks with you.

Michele, you'll be happy to hear that the Tree of Life Awakenings is visible daily beginning at dusk and occurs approximately every 10 minutes until the park closes for the evening. It's the perfect way to wrap up your day.

In my family, watching Tree of Life Awakenings has become a bit of a tradition - we always stop to watch before heading back to our Disney hotel. While the projections are stunning from almost any angle, we especially enjoy viewing from the left side of the Tree of Life. It feels just a little more peaceful over there, and it gives us a great view.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question, Michele. If you think of any other questions as you work through your planning, please don't hesitate to reach out again, we are happy to help!

    Cheers,
