Samantha? I am channeling my best Olaf impersonation to welcome you to planDisney! You sound like a seasoned planner, and I hope you've snagged some fabulous dining reservations for your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit. Let's look at how the
booking window works when you're at two different resorts. Some restaurants are worth melting for!
Split stays are a wonderful way to experience different Disney Resort hotels. I usually look for a
Special Offer to book an inexpensive stay at the beginning of my visit and then splurge for the final days at a Deluxe Resort. I'll be at
Disney's Pop Century Resort this fall, but then I'm moving to the new
Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort with some planDisney pals. I can't wait!
The downside is that I won't be able to book dining or Enchanting Extras for that second stay when my first window opens. Split stays cannot be linked, so I'll have two booking windows like you. I plan to book my hard-to-get reservations near the end of my longest stay; I think I'll have a better chance to secure what I want with that strategy! I'm sending pixie dust that this works for you, too, Samantha.
Another tip is to look at restaurants outside of the theme parks. Locations at Disney Springs, such as
Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant, often have availability, and you can't go wrong dining at Disney Resort hotels.
Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a family favorite; their ketchup is extra special!
Samantha, I hope you secure the dining reservations you're dreaming of. Please stop by
planDisney because we love helping guests plan magical vacations. And like everyone's favorite snowman, we love warm hugs, too.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
