Greetings, Charlotte, and welcome to planDisney! The attractions, entertainment, food, and Characters of the Disneyland Resort are waiting for you, and it's almost time for your trip!
As a fellow animal lover, I appreciate you asking about doggy daycare options. However, the Disneyland Resort does not have facilities on the property for pets. They did once upon a time, but it hasn't been offered for a while. Currently, only
trained service animals are permitted inside the Disneyland Resort.
So, what are your options? I have a few recommendations.
Many Guests have found pet boarding options in the Anaheim area – you can search online to find some locations to contact.
You can also look into Good Neighbor hotels, which are Disney-approved hotels near the Resort. Use the search function
on the Disneyland website and select the "Pet Friendly" filter under "Amenities" to find some hotel options to consider – I suggest contacting them before booking to confirm their pet policy and to see if they have recommendations for daytime care.
I like the idea of getting something for your pup during this trip. Did you know you can get a custom engraved pet ID tag at a few locations around the Resort? There are different shapes and designs to choose from. You can also check shops such as
World of Disney and
Disney Home for any pet items, like bandanas or bowls, although the selection can vary. Another fun option is to bring a few photos of your dog to the caricature artist in New Orleans Square and ask if they could illustrate a fun memento.
Charlotte, I hope that you find a great solution for your furry friend, and that you have a great time visiting the Disneyland Resort. If you think of any other questions between now and your trip, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
