Greetings, John, and welcome to planDisney! Your trip is just around the corner, and I have some good news about the nighttime entertainment that will wrap up your visit.
The entertainment schedules are subject to change, but the
Hours and Events Calendar currently lists the
Wondrous Journeys show with fireworks at 9:35 p.m. on the day of your visit, weather permitting. The storytelling, projections, and soundtrack of this show are amazing, and I love that you'll have a chance to see it before the 70th Anniversary Celebration wraps up. I recommend watching it from the area near "it's a small world" since it can get pretty busy on Main Street, U.S.A. and around the castle.
One of my favorite nighttime shows is
Paint the Night. Imagine more than one million lights illuminating the parade route with floats and performers. It brings lots of energy – I always find myself bobbing my head or swaying to the music. Like me, you might find yourself singing "when can we do this again" for the rest of the night. There are two performances scheduled the night of your visit.
If you can fit it into your evening,
Fantasmic! is very fun, too. You can't go wrong with Mickey as the Sorcerer's Apprentice and the classic storytelling Disney does so well. There are two performances of this one, too, so you should be able to fit all three shows into your night if you'd like.
I mentioned that the
70th Anniversary Celebration is coming to an end soon. Make sure to check out some of the limited-time menu items, merchandise, photo spots, and décor around the Resort. It's been a truly wonderful celebration of Walt Disney's original theme park.
John, have a fantastic time during your visit. I'll make a wish that the fireworks occur as scheduled. If you have any questions while at the park, stop by one of the Guest Relations locations to speak with a Cast Member. Of course, you can also come back to planDisney – we're happy to help!
Cheers,
Kriss
