Hey there, Bailey!
I'm thrilled to hear about your group's upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. If you're not staying at an
eligible resort that offers planning 7 days before your check-in date, your Lightning Lane Pass purchase window will open 3 days before your ticket start date. That's just around the riverbend, so you're smart to be thinking ahead on how best to include everyone in the plans.
The easiest way to plan together is to make sure you are all connected to each other
via the Family & Friends List. This way, you can include each eligible guest in your planning party when purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Single Pass. My pal Kay walks through the process of
connecting with Linking Codes if you need some extra guidance. I recommend tackling this ahead of time, so everything flows smoothly when your purchase window opens at 7 am EST.
Once connected, you can
make selections for the entire party using the My Disney Experience app. I recommend having one person make the plans for each day (you can divide and conquer if you have a multi-day visit) so you all have the same attraction return times. Keep in mind that this means the planning guest will pay for everyone they include in the plans. If you'd like to keep the finances separate, you can plan for you and your boyfriend as your family handles their own purchases and selections. Just try to look for overlapping return windows so you can all ride together. You are also welcome to
modify your selections, subject to availability, to help match everyone's times more closely.
Even if you decide to keep the initial purchase separate, being connected via Family & Friends will be helpful during your visit. This will allow you to plan additional selections as a group after you've redeemed one of your initial 3 attractions.
I hope this helps, Bailey! Please come back and see us again with more planning questions. We're always ready to share our best tips and help you paint your vacation with all the colors of the wind.
Magic and memories,
Amy
