Hi Annemarie!
I'm happy to help with your question today as you prepare for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. I can understand wanting to make the magic your own, and that often means within your own budget, so let's see what we can uncover together.
When it comes to
theme park tickets, the pricing is dynamic depending on a few factors, including time of year, day of the week, and expected crowd levels. You can actually take a look at the ticket calendar to see daily pricing for the next few weeks which may help in finding a day that best fits your budget. When you enter the check-out flow on the Disneyland website, follow the steps to choose the number of tickets, the number of days, and the type of ticket (1-Park Per Day Ticket or a Park Hopper). From there, you will come to the calendar to select your specific day to visit. I can see for the week of March 16th, it is currently showing that Tuesday may offer the most savings. With the exception of holidays and school break weeks, mid-week park days tend to see a dip in crowd levels and sometimes a dip in pricing.
Ahead of any visit, I also like to check out the "
Offers and Discounts" page where you can sometimes find special deals on tickets or hotel accommodation. A quick peek just revealed that there is a
Kids' Special Ticket Offer with pricing as low as $50 per day if you are traveling with Mouseketeers between the ages of 3 and 9. This is a great deal! Depending on your plans, there is some flexibility with this ticket that allows you to add on multiple days and upgrade to a Park Hopper for an additional fee. This special limited-time offer only runs through March 20, 2025, so you get to enjoy the last few days that this is available!
When I'm trying to stay within a certain spending limit without putting a damper on the magic, I find that bringing a few snacks from home to stash in my bag along with reusable water bottles can be helpful. There are
drinking fountains throughout the resorts where they can be refilled whenever you need. Additionally, you can request complimentary ice water at most quick-service locations. While my kids love to drink lemonade and the occasional soda, they can add up throughout the day, so we try to curtail this by having ice water at the ready. Not to mention that it helps to keep everyone hydrated as we power through our park day!
Annemarie, I hope this was helpful in your planning! If you're looking for any more tips and tricks, you know where to find us here at

Magic awaits,
Tara
