Will they accept a temporary paper ID as proof of California residence?

    Hello, Britain! Welcome to planDisney!

Whether using the current Southern California Resident ticket or the Imagine Magic Key pass - both of which are exclusively offered to California residents living within ZIP codes 90000 to 93599 - all Guests ages 18 or older must provide proof of eligible residency, including a valid government-issued photo ID, upon first use for admission. Please remember that a theme park reservation is also required for each day you plan to visit!

Generally, DMV-issued temporary licenses and provisional instruction permits are not considered valid forms of identification (and may have this printed on them) and will likely not be accepted as proof of residency. If this is your situation, Britain, you must wait until you get your permanent California Driver's License or a California ID Card before using either the SoCal ticket or an Imagine Magic Key. I'm sorry if this isn't what you hoped to hear!

Once you are ready for your visit, be sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog for all of the exciting events going on at the Disneyland Resort this year. I can't wait for the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival to return next week. It's one of the tastiest times of the year, and I love visiting this festival again and again on the hunt for my new favorite food!

Please let me know if you have any other questions, Britain. I would be happy to help!

    See ya real soon,
    Melissa
