Hey there, hi there, Ixchel! Welcome to planDisney. We are here to answer all your planning questions -- rain or shine!
Tomorrow is the big day! I know rain can be a bummer on a visit to Disneyland, but I think a rainy day at Disneyland is much better than no day at
Disneyland. There's still lots of magic to experience! Disneyland Park usually does have ponchos available for purchase on rainy days, but I have not seen any type of rain booties or shoe coverings. Wet feet are no fun so if you don't have rain boots or some type of waterproof shoes, it's time to get creative! My daughter recently went away for a week of camp in the mountains with forecasted rain and they were told to bring plastic bags or bread bags to slip on their feet over their socks to use as a protective layer to keep socks dry if their shoes got wet and it seemed to work well for the kids who didn't have rain shoes.
My other tip for a rainy day is to bring lots of plastic zip-like bags. These are great to protect your phones and chargers in your bags if there is a downpour. They also protect those Disneyland treats you want to bring home!
During heavier rainfall prioritize indoor shows or attractions where queues are mostly indoor. For example, at
Disneyland Park, you can enjoy the Enchanted Tiki Room and a ride on the Monorail or Disneyland Train. Attractions like Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Star Tours, Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run, Indiana Jones Adventure, and Space Mountain all have mostly indoor queues. There is also Main Street Cinema and Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough that will keep you dry.
Ixchel, I hope you can make the most of a rainy Disneyland day tomorrow. Sending you all the pixie dust that you see some sun too!
Carrie
