Greetings, Casey, and welcome to planDisney! Are you ready to spend a magical day at the Happiest Place on Earth? I'm glad you reached out and am happy to answer your questions. Let's start with plushies.
Typically, you shouldn't have an issue bringing a couple of standard-sized plushies into the parks, even if they have small magnets inside. That said, it's a good idea to review the list of prohibited items on the
Disneyland Resort Rules page to make sure there's nothing about your plushies that could cause them to be flagged. If they're very large or could be considered disruptive, for example, they may not be allowed inside. The Cast Members at the security checkpoints would make that determination.
While it's a fun idea to bring a few plushies along, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that it could be bothersome to carry them around all day. You'd have to secure them when riding attractions, and they may take up a lot of space in your backpack. Plus, as my daughter sadly experienced a few months ago, there's a chance they could get lost in the excitement of the day. While the Disneyland Resort has a great
Lost and Found program, you wouldn't want to spend the day worrying about a special item disappearing. You can
rent a locker inside the park if you decide you want to safely store them.
Now, let's move on to footwear! I wear my Crocs to the Disneyland Resort all the time. Did you know that there are even some locations in the park that sell them? If you end up renting a locker, you can also choose to bring a backup pair of shoes if you like the idea of switching into something else midday.
It's been quite warm all week here in Orange County, so please stay hydrated and take lots of breaks throughout the day. There are
water bottle-filling stations across the park, and you'll find Powerade at many of the carts. Cold fruit and even a classic Disneyland pickle are good snack options. If you don't already have a fan or cooling towel, you should be able to find both available for purchase inside the park. One great spot to get out of the sun is the
Enchanted Tiki Room, which is especially nice if you come with a Dole Whip in hand.
