Greetings, Mike, and welcome to planDisney! Your visit to the Disneyland Resort is just around the corner. There are so many attractions, shows, Characters, restaurants, and other experiences waiting for you.
It sounds like you heard about the upcoming temporary closure for
Indiana Jones Adventure. This truly unique and thrilling attraction is scheduled to start a refurbishment on September 8, 2026, and a reopening date has not yet been announced.
My best advice is to keep an eye on the
Hours & Events Calendar. It lists park hours, entertainment schedules, and attraction refurbishments as far as six weeks out. At the time of writing this, the calendar goes as far as September 22, 2026, and Indiana Jones Adventure still shows as under refurbishment.
Check again around a month before your visit to see if it's still on the list or if you'll have a chance to gaze into the all-seeing eyes of Mara!
If attractions are important to you during this visit, Mike, consider purchasing the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass. With it, you'd select arrival windows throughout the day to access a shorter line at
participating attractions, including Indiana Jones Adventure when it's operating. I usually prioritize that attraction and Space Mountain in Disneyland since the arrival windows tend to fill up more quickly.
Based on your indicated arrival date, you'll experience the frightfully festive fun of
Halloween Time. I've already noticed a few decorative touches at California Adventure, including the large Oogie Boogie at the park entrance and bats at Carthay Circle Restaurant. There will be a lot to look forward to during this spooky season, including special entertainment, décor, attraction overlays, merchandise,
menu items, and more. I can't wait!
