I will be going to Disney world with my parents and they are Florida residents. Would they be able to purchase our tickets with their instate discount since they will be present ?

    Hiya Amanda,

Welcome to planDisney! I’ve been on many trips to Walt Disney World Resort, but the ones with my parents are always my favorite. They are always so much fun to travel with, and my little one loves the additional attention.

Thank you for your question, Amanda; it is excellent! In order to purchase Theme Park tickets, Guests over 18 years old who plan to buy, activate, and/or use the Theme Park ticket must be able to provide valid proof of Florida residency. Unfortunately, this means that even though your parents are Florida residents, you would still need to provide your own proof of Florida residency to use a Theme Park ticket at the Florida Resident rate.

I know this is not the news you were hoping for, Amanda, but I hope it was helpful. During your visit, Amanda, don’t forget to check out all of the limited edition treats and eats at Walt Disney World Resort for the spooky season. I have so many on my must-try list for my upcoming vacation. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning!

When we are not piloting the Millennium Falcon, exploring Kilimanjaro Safaris, or watching fireworks, you can find me planning our next adventure to Walt Disney World! I am so excited that you are planning a trip, and I look forward to helping you dig a little deeper and find the magic in all of the wonders of Walt Disney World Resort. Learn More About Ashley
