Hiya Robert,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question about the drawing lessons—what a fun one! I recently had the chance to experience one of these classes myself, and let me tell you… I am definitely not an artist. But somehow, with just a few circles and some helpful guidance from the Disney animator, my page transformed into Goofy right before my eyes! It felt like pure Disney magic—suddenly, I was an artist too!
Now let’s get to the drawing board and sketch out the details. You’ll be happy to hear that The
Animation Experience is located at
Conservation Station in
Animal Kingdom. It’s tucked away in one of the park’s most unique spots—Rafiki’s Planet Watch—and to get there, you’ll board the
Wildlife Express Train in Africa. The train ride itself is a peaceful little journey and feels like a hidden gem of the park.
Once you arrive, you’ll find multiple opportunities throughout the day to sit down and try your hand at drawing a beloved Disney character. One of the coolest things? The featured character changes throughout the day, so you could draw Simba in one session and Pumbaa in another. Whether you stay for one or come back for more, it’s such a memorable experience—and perfect for a little break in the AC!
While you’re in the Africa section of the park, don’t miss two of my family’s absolute favorites. First,
Kilimanjaro Safaris is an incredible ride that brings you up close with giraffes, elephants, lions, and more. We’ve had the best luck spotting animals either first thing in the morning or right before the park closes when the animals are most active. And then, of course, there’s
Festival of the Lion King. This show is pure joy—colorful, full of energy, and with live vocals and acrobatics that never fail to leave us in awe. My girls sing Hakuna Matata the rest of the day!
Robert, I hope this helps as you plan your wild adventure at Animal Kingdom. If you have any more questions, feel free to visit us again.
See you real soon,
Christina
