Walt Disney World visit. This time of year, an afternoon pop-up thunderstorm is to be expected, even if there is no rain in the forecast. That being said, these storms usually only last a few minutes, and I, personally, like to use this time to duck into a merchandise shop, grab a meal indoors at
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen, perhaps, or enjoy some indoor entertainment. I've even been known to take a voyage on Jungle Cruise in a rain shower (as long as there's no lightning around). The boats are covered, and rain gives the attraction an extra layer of ambiance, almost like you truly are in the rainforest going down the Nile. I could go on about this for Niles and Niles and Niles, and if you don't believe me, well, you must be ... in denial. Hey, I never promised I'd stop the jokes forever.
Yes, you absolutely can use a plastic rain hat if that's your preferred method of staying dry. Just maybe pick a color other than gray so the hippos don't notice you. These creatures are quite curious and could easily upset the boat. So, please don't do anything that might attract them. Don't worry if they charge the boat, though. The attraction only takes cash.
