Hi Mary!
Welcome to planDisney! As my friend Princess Tiana would say, you're
Almost There. . .almost to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, that is! I know these final few days are filled with packing and finalizing those last-minute plans, so I'm glad you took a moment to stop by to see us here at planDisney.
Mary, honoring those who serve is so important - not just on Veterans Day but throughout the year. Did you know you can watch a moving
Flag Retreat Ceremony each day at Magic Kingdom Park? It's a wonderful tradition to watch if you haven't been able to see it previously. Unfortunately, there have not been any announcements about specific activities for Veterans Day. I spoke with a Cast Member who told me that often these special surprises are unannounced, however, I can share that some special tributes have occurred in the parks over the years, including a
flyover at Disneyland Resort just last year. If you're heading to the parks that day, you can always check with a Cast Member at Guest Relations or under one of the blue "Guest Experiences" umbrellas located throughout the park to see if they have any additional details they can share.
When visiting Walt Disney World Resort, I also make a point to visit the
Hall of Presidents at Magic Kingdom and
The American Adventure in EPCOT during each of my trips. You can usually find
Voices of Liberty performing in the rotunda of The American Adventure Pavilion throughout the day as well. Their vocal performances are absolutely stunning - especially set in that beautiful space. While not directly Veterans Day activities, these patriotic shows are great choices to honor those who serve.
Mary, I hope this information is helpful and that you enjoy a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
See ya real soon!
