Going on the Disney wish for the very merrytime cruise 12/16-12/20 and was wondering if there are any themed days/nights that I should prepare for. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Christian,

Thanks for sailing by planDisney with Disney Cruise Line planning question! You are about to embark on one of my favorite itineraries––a Very Merrytime Cruise visiting Disney Castaway Cay! I am excited to help with your planning.

Your cruise is scheduled for the following:

    • Monday - Cruise Casual
    • Tuesday - Optional Dress-Up and Mickey & Minnie's Holiday Party
    • Wednesday - Pirate Night
    • Thursday - Cruise Casual

Here are some tips as you prepare your packing list! Mickey & Minnie's Holiday Party is a fun night to dress up in some holiday attire and have your photo taken in the atrium lobby. It is a perfect keepsake! On Pirate Night, many Guests wear swashbuckling attire. Some like to wear themed t-shirts and others go all out with costumes (be sure to read the costume guidelines); it's up to you. You will receive a pirate-themed bandana in your room, too!

While you are thinking about your day at Disney Castaway Cay, be sure to pack some sunscreen, your sunglasses, and a refillable water bottle. That will keep you in tip-top shape for a fantastic time! I suggest purchasing the Castaway Cay Getaway Package, which includes snorkel gear, bicycle rental, and a float, so you get to experience the best the island has to offer!

I hope this helps with your planning, Christian. You will be sailing away soon!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
