Disney website says,”tripods allowed,” as long as they don’t extend past 6 feet and can fit inside a backpack. What are the chances security gives me a hard time? I ask because I will be taking the shuttle, so i wouldn’t be able to take it back to a car.

    Hi Austin!

Thanks for letting me be your planning buddy! There are so many beautiful things to photograph in the parks, so I don't blame you for wanting to bring along some equipment.

The Disneyland Resort Rules do list some items that are not allowed in the parks. Tripods must be able to fit inside a standard backpack and they cannot have the ability to extend over 6 feet long. As long as your tripod meets those requirements then you should be fine! As far as your backpack goes, just make sure it isn't any larger than 24" long x 15" wide and 18" high. It's also important to note that selfie sticks and other hand-held extension poles for devices aren't permitted. All bags will be searched at the Disneyland Resort, so it's nice if you can pack light and have things easily accessible for a quick trip through security.

Some of my favorite pictures from the parks were taken on the bridge between Fantasy Faire and Sleeping Beauty Castle. There's a little less traffic off to the side and you have a lovely view of the fountains in front of the castle. It's so peaceful, especially in the mornings! If you keep your eyes open you might catch some of my favorite Disneyland Park residents hanging out over here...the ducks!

Enjoy the beauty of the parks, Austin! I hope you'll snap some incredible photos to enjoy for years to come.

    Keep moving forward!
