Resort shampoos and soaps

    Hi! Do all Disney resorts sell the sea salt lotion in their giftshops? We usually stay at the Caribbean and wanted to bring some home for a friend that isn't able to come, but heard it may have been discontinued.

    Welcome to planDisney! I have such an obsession with the H2O+ products that are in the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. I love their smells and agree that Sea Salt is one of the best scents along with Sea Marine. The scents are so distinct to Walt Disney World that I still use the lotions I have hoarded over the years when I miss the Parks. 

    Sadly, at the end of last year, the company that produces all these amazing scents and products closed down after 33 years of operation. However, as of my last trip a few weeks ago, it appears that Walt Disney World Resort Hotels are still using these products in their hotel rooms. The body wash, shampoo, and conditioners are now in refillable bottles in the shower. Depending on your hotel room you may also see a bar soap, lotion, mouthwash, and even cooling aloe gel! These H2O+ products cannot be purchased anywhere except from resellers in some online shops. I have been looking in the gift shops for it to be on clearance but they are truly gone. Walt Disney World Resort may have products on hand that they are working through for their Resort guests until they replace them with the next great scented products! No news yet on what it will be but I'm sure it will be announced on the Disney Parks Blog!

    If the powers at be at Walt Disney World are reading this I want them to know that I'm hoping they find a way to package the scent of Avatar Flight of Passage as I am obsessed with that.  I don't know if you ever had a chance to experience it but I strongly suggest you go and give it a good sniff. The world of Pandora inside that ride smells fabulous. 

    If you are looking for something that smells amazing and has that Disney magic then I suggest you visit Basin in Disney Springs. I have found some cute Disney character-inspired soaps and lotions. Great for gift-giving and I highly recommend the bath bombs.

    I'm sorry that I don't have the news that you wanted but I do hope you have a great time and find something special for your friend!
