Going to Disney and Hollywood studios ( orlando ) 4/8-4/11…. Is they power ranger sightings at either anymore? My special needs son saw them when he was younger and is excited to see them again… I need to prepare him in case they are not there anymore…

    Hi Deborah,

As someone who grew up during the reign of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, I certainly understand the desire to see them again and relive their glory days. You will need to prepare your son ahead of time because Disney's Hollywood Studios has moved from "May the power protect you." to "May the force be with you!"

Disney's Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom only feature Disney-owned or licensed characters throughout the theme parks. The beauty is that there are so many wonderful people for him to meet when you all visit. If you download the My Disney Experience App you will have the power to find character meet and greets throughout your journey. Simply click on the map feature and filter at the top by Characters. There are so many wonderful and fun heroes to interact with that he will create new memories he will want to relive for years to come.

In Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios he will be able to interact with creatures all over the galaxy like BB-8, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Stormtroopers, Kylo Ren, and Rey. Venture further into Toy Story Land and he will come across heroes like Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Jessie.  In Pixar Plaza, he might come across Frozone, Sulley, and the Incredibles!

In Magic Kingdom, you will come across more fairytale characters like Ariel, Cinderella, Elena, Peter Pan, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Winnie the Pooh. You will also see the classic Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy!

Make sure to check the app on the days of your visit because characters do change from time to time so I wouldn't promise a specific character. My recommendation would be to focus on a few of the films or shows he enjoys where he is bound to run into at least one of those characters and maybe do a rewatch party right before your trip so those characters are top of mind for him when he stumbles upon them at the theme parks.

I hope he is willing but down his Power Blaster and pick up a lightsaber while at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! I have made the conversion and never looked back.

    Happy Planning
