Hi there, Megan!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. We're always happy to help a fellow Disney guest.
I'm thrilled to hear that you're planning to visit
Walt Disney World Resort in December. It always feels like an extra magical time since the parks and resorts are decked in their holiday best. The festive atmosphere and delicious specialty snacks truly make it the most wonderful time of year!
If you are planning to
purchase a 3-day standard theme park ticket, your ticket will expire 5 days after your selected start date or as soon as you have redeemed all entitlements, whichever comes first. Unfortunately, that means you'd only have 5 days to use the
tickets if you decided to begin with a 1-day visit in October. I love that you are trying to maximize your time and ticket value but this particular scenario won't work since your two visits are many weeks apart.
I'm not sure if all the members of your travel party are Florida residents, but there is another option that might work if you are interested in visiting on weekdays. The
Florida Resident Disney Weekday Magic Ticket is a fantastic special offer for discounted 2, 3, or 4-day tickets for visits Monday-Friday between October 2 and December 22, 2023. You'll need a
theme park reservation for each day you plan to visit, subject to availability, but you can use the tickets on non-consecutive weekdays any time between the eligible dates. Keep in mind that a Florida billing address is required during the checkout process and all adults will need to show proof of Florida residency at the park entrance.
If this
special offer isn't a match for your needs you can purchase a 1-day ticket to use this weekend and a separate 2-day ticket for your December visit without fear of losing ticket entitlements before they expire.
I hope this was helpful Megan! If we can answer any additional questions or offer more personalized recommendations please come back and let us know. You are also welcome to

Magic and memories,
Amy
