Ahoy, and Welcome to planDisney Alyssa,
What a fantastic surprise for your partner!
Land & Sea vacations are the best of both worlds. You get the excitement of the theme parks, followed by the relaxation of a cruise. My husband says that Disney Cruises are one of the only vacations he returns truly relaxed from!
We just returned from
Aulani for Christmas (another place with pixie-dusted relaxation) and had the most delightful breakfast with Minnie and her friends. The pictures from the breakfast keep popping up on my phone, making me think that this might be an excellent way for you to surprise your partner! When your favorite character stops by your table, you could hold up a sign saying - Surprise! The magic continues on the sea. . . or something to that effect. Then you can show your partner the pics, and boom!
Now, if that's not to your liking, you can always call the restaurant before you arrive or stop by the reception desk to speak to the Cast Members. They can tell you how much
the characters can assist in your surprise. Consider having
a cake delivered to the restaurant with your surprise piped on top (we did this to celebrate my husband's birthday) or have
something special delivered to your hotel room announcing your cruise.
Regardless of what you choose, I know the announcement will be practically perfect in every way. I wish you the most
magical travels!
