Does Disney Cruise Line (we’ll be traveling on The Magic) have carbon monoxide detectors in the room or allow battery operated travel ones to be brought on board?

    Ahoy Kelly!

Thanks for dropping anchor here at planDisney, where we love setting sail search of answers to Disney vacation questions. How exciting that you have an upcoming cruise on my favorite ship, the Disney Magic! I have an upcoming cruise on board the Magic as well and I am excitedly counting down the days until embarkation day.

The Disney Magic offers excellent dining and entertainment, making it not only my favorite Disney Cruise Line ship, but my teenage daughter’s as well. We love Rapunzel’s Royal Table and the lively entertainment offered by the Snuggly Duckling Thugs, Flynn Rider, and Rapunzel herself. It is hands down our favorite dining experience on board Disney Cruise Line. Another highlight on the Disney Magic is the AquaDunk. This one is for the thrill-seekers out there as it is a unique onboard waterslide unlike any waterslide I’ve ever experienced! With so many fantastic activities and amenities, you are going to have an unforgettable cruise.

I couldn’t recall with certainty if the staterooms on board the Disney Magic had carbon monoxide detectors in them, so I had to reach out to a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member for help obtaining an answer to your question. I can confidently inform you that the staterooms on board are not equipped with carbon monoxide detectors, but you are welcome to bring your battery-operated travel carbon monoxide detector with you. I recommend keeping your travel detector with you in your carry-on bag when you board the ship rather than placing it in your checked luggage. That way if the item needs to be inspected, it will be easy to do so and will not delay the delivery of your checked luggage to your stateroom.

I hope this information helps you put the final bits of pixie dust on your magical Disney Cruise Line vacation. If you have additional questions, or if we can offer you any recommendations, please come back here to planDisney. We are here and happy to help!

    Happy Sailing!
