Hiya friend! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
While there's no way to set up a birthday recognition for your upcoming visit to the parks, there are plenty of ways to celebrate! My family loves to mark big occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, and graduations with a special trip to our happy place, so I've got some ideas I can share with you.
It sounds like you'd like people to know it's her special day. The easiest way is to pick up a
Complimentary Birthday Button from City Hall on Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland Park or Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park. She's sure to get lots of good wishes on her special day from Guests and Cast Members alike, while sporting her button, and it makes for a fun souvenir.
Be sure to take lots of photos! You can both be in the picture with
Disney PhotoPass, and photographers are located in lots of great spots, like in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle in Fantasyland. The good news is that Disney PhotoPass downloads are currently complimentary with the purchase of Lightning Lane Passes. It's a great value!
I'd also try to make a
dining reservation for a table service restaurant. Not only is this a great chance to connect, reliving the fun you've had throughout the day, but you can also surprise her with a
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake at the conclusion of your meal. Many locations offer the opportunity to pre-order this delicious little cake when you book at least 3 days in advance of your reservation. While dining reservations can fill up and availability isn't guaranteed, hopefully, you can still find the perfect spot to dine and toast to another year well spent. You can also ask to place a cake order when you check in with the Cast Member at the podium at participating dining locations.
If a participating location doesn't have reservations available, I'd also suggest a
Character Dining Experience. These are always fun for all ages and a great setting for a celebration you won't forget. Something really elegant can be a treat too. On my recent birthday in the park, we visited Carthay Circle Restaurant on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park for a special dining experience. I never skip the White Cheddar Parker House Rolls, and they have a fabulous wine selection.
I just know you're going to have the best time!
