Hey, howdy, hey, Jennifer and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
Jennifer, as a Disney fan who is in my 16th year of working in public education (when I'm not at the Most Magical Place on Earth), I appreciate this question and understand the countless hours of work teachers (and nurses) dedicate to helping others. My husband is also a teacher and I truly believe we could have built a life-size
Cinderella Castle with the number of papers he has graded over the last decade!
Now, in my opinion, there is no better way to escape the pressures of work than at the Walt Disney World Resort, so let's chat about travel planning! Currently, there are no discounts released specifically for teachers or nurses, but I'll encourage you to continually check
THIS PAGE that shows all special offers. These do change, so even if you don't see anything that pertains to you now, you never know what might pop up next!
As a family who budgets for every
Disney Resort hotel stay, meal, and souvenir, every little bit of savings helps. Another way my family and I save up is through
Disney Gift Cards. When we are out shopping for groceries or essentials, I'll often pick up a Disney Gift Card and then consolidate them all into one (up to $1,000 per card). You can use these to pay for vacation packages and everything inside the parks and resorts.
Jennifer, I also like to save a little by making small choices that add up to bigger savings while on vacation. For example, instead of purchasing drinks during the day, we bring water bottles into the parks or stop in the nearest
quick-service dining location for a cup of free iced water.
No matter when you're dreaming of coming to Walt Disney World, I hope you having a pixie-dusted visit. If you have any additional questions, please come on back to planDisney where we are happier than Bullseye with his best pal, Woody, to help a returning guest.
