Discount for 1 day pass for military veterans

Welcome to planDisney we’re so glad you’re here!

I would like to first begin with a huge thank you, from my military family to yours, “Thank You!”. We truly appreciate all you’ve done and continue to do. Walt Disney World does a great job of honoring eligible service members in a few ways. The first is a family favorite, the Military Salute promotional ticket.

The Military Salute ticket is available as a 4,5, or 6-day theme park ticket. So if you are looking to extend your visit, this is the perfect ticket for that. This theme park ticket option is available to purchase at your local military ticketing office or Shades of Green with valid military identification. Keep in mind that these tickets will need a theme park reservation and the eligible service member must be present on the day of first use with a valid military ID to activate these theme park tickets.

I also recommend checking the other available ticket options to purchase from Shades of Green or your local military ticketing office since you are looking to visit for fewer days. There have been times when my family has used our Military Salute tickets but planned another trip the same year so the other ticket options have come in handy. I've also been able to purchase a 1-day ticket just like you are looking to use by visiting my local military ticketing office. They just asked to verify my ID and I was all set to complete my purchase.

Since your trip is right around the corner, take a look at some other great deals & discounts available through Walt Disney World Resort. Even though these aren’t military-exclusive offers, they are just as great! There has been more than one occasion where these offers have been a better option for our family rather than using the military discount. It just depends on when you will be visiting, the length of your visit, and what you are looking to enjoy while visiting. Again, I know you're looking at 1-day options but sometimes extending is worth it!

With your trip quickly approaching my best recommendation would be to visit your local military ticketing office to purchase your theme park tickets. Once you have them in hand you’ll want to link them to your My Disney Experience account so that you can schedule your theme park reservations. Make sure to double-check the theme park availability before purchasing just to be sure that you are good to go for the day(s) you want to visit.

Enjoy your upcoming trip, and once again, thank you for your service, we truly appreciate you!

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
