Hi Joanna,
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question. I hope we haven't missed your park day and can help you find your way through the magic!
Without knowing specifically which discount you are referring to, I'm happy to share some information around common discounts Guests use in and around the parks! The first one that came to mind is the discount offered to
Magic Key holders on select merchandise and dining offerings throughout Disneyland Resort. Depending on which Key you may be holding, you can receive up to 15% off dining and up to 20% off merchandise, subject to exclusions, restrictions, changes, and cancellations. The
Disneyland website provides detailed information on which restaurants and shops honor this discount, and in my experience, servers and Cast Members at merchandise locations will generally ask if you are a Magic Key holder before ringing up your total. If so, you will need to show your Key via the Disneyland App. Throughout the year, additional benefits and offerings are extended to Magic Key holders as well, which you can find detailed in the Magic Key portal on the app or the website under "
Extras Unlocked".
If you hold a
Disney® Visa® Card from Chase, you are also eligible for a discount up to 10% off select dining and merchandise locations most days throughout the parks. To use this discount, notify the Cast Member and present your card when making a purchase. When you use your Disney® Visa® card, you earn
Reward Dollars that can also be used in and around the parks. On the Chase website, you would need to transfer your Reward Dollars to a Redemption Card which can be used like a regular credit card once you are on property. The Chase app and website will guide you through how to make this transfer. An additional benefit here is that sometimes where are
special photo opportunities are offered just for card members! I had a very real encounter with Darth Vader at the
Star Wars Photo Opportunity on my last visit!
Before I book a Disneyland visit, I also like to check out the current
Offers and Discounts page on the website. Here you can find current promotions on park tickets and hotel stays, or specific offers for Magic Key holders, California Residents, and Eligible U.S. Military Members. There is currently a great deal aligned with the upcoming 70th Anniversary Celebration - the
Disneyland Anniversary Ticket Offer, which offers both a 3 or 4-day ticket with discounted pricing. The best part is that the days can be used between May 16 - August 14, 2025, and do not need to be used on consecutive days, so you can make it a truly magical summer!
Joanna, I hope this was helpful and that we touched on the specific discount you were inquiring about. If not, feel free to drop me or my fellow
planDisney pals another question with additional information, and we'd be happy to guide you in the right direction!
See you in the parks!
Tara
